Paint by numbers works well as a group activity in a nursing home or assisted living residence because every resident gets a printed guide on the canvas, so nobody has to know how to draw. The staff job is mostly preparation: pick kits with large, clear zones, set up one table station per person, and plan for several short sessions instead of one long one.

Why It Fits a Group Setting

A kit is self-contained. Each one comes as a pre-printed canvas with numbered paints and brushes, so a session needs a table, water and some paper towels, and little else. Residents work at their own speed on their own canvas, which means a faster painter is not waiting for a slower one, and nobody has to compare. Choosing Kits for the Group

Plan on short blocks, about 30 to 45 minutes, and keep the canvases on a shelf or a rolling cart between sessions. Painting a kit takes many hours in total, so it is a project that continues over weeks, not an afternoon craft.
